Grab is the leading ride-hailing and mobile payments platform in Southeast Asia. Grab uses data and technology to improve transportation and financial services across a region. Grab team asked me to ideate a new feature that could be implemented in their app.
I worked with the Grab team to develop a new feature to enhance its ride-hailing services in the mobile app.
I conducted a few interviews and created personas to visualize various aspects of user behavior and motivations.
The interviews led me to the idea of short sightseeing tours that Grab could offer to its app users in Singapore.
I made user flows to show how users could visit local attractions between trips or plan a long route dedicated to local points of interest only. Also, it was important to embed this new service into an existing ride-hailing flow.
In the next steps, I created wireframes, low-fidelity mockups, and a prototype in Marvel.
The project I proposed was very challenging and exciting for me, and so the more I worked at it, the more possibilities, details and opportunities I saw in it. I was limited in time and did my best to deliver the concept within a strict deadline.
The Grab team accepted my ideas with great interest. The job I have done allowed the company to save money and decide whether to launch this feature or not.
